I take action every year as a committee member and promoter of Relay For Life (part of the American Cancer Society) and I am here to shamelessly ask you for a donation. But here is the twist. Your donation is not to me. Your donation is THROUGH me in support or in honor of someone YOU love, know or lost.




Who do YOU know that has or has had cancer? I bet you can think of family members, friends and even friends her on InspectionNews like Kevin Campbell who we recently lost.




I'm looking for your help to Finish The Fight against this terrible disease!




After you donate I want you to reply with the name(s) of the people you were thinking about when you made your donation and include who they are and what they mean/meant to you in your life.




I will print out all the names and think of your loved ones as I take to the track this weekend to Finish The Fight.

Cancer can show itself suddenly or nag someone for a long time. It knows no boundaries for age. My sister just recently found out she has stage 4. Early 60's. It is so sad to see people you love fight through this. My wife lost her brother and my high school friend to cancer back in 1977. He was just 24. I was very moved by Brian's story on the path cancer has taken through his family.

I'm so sorry to hear that your sister is going through it right now. The good news is that even Stage 4 is not what is once was. There are cures and treatments and an ever growing list of stage 4 survivors.

In all my years of being involved in Relay For Life and being around people with cancer the #1 thing I've learned is to eat a large verity of fruits, vegetables and berries EVERY SINGLE DAY. And just eat healthy in general and get your exercise. The vast majority of doctors are not nutritionist, they treat people once they get sick but there is so much we can all do for ourselves to help prevent or limit the severity or help with recovery.

I'm sure you sister if very grateful for the donation you made.
