White flex duct

I'm unclear what you're describing. The "white" is standard duct mastic, is the duct damaged under the mastic? Is there a previous tear or rip, or did you observe some other anomaly, such as sagging or kinking?

Looks to me like the reflective mylar has worn off for some reason. Is the duct intact? Does it look like the duct was submerged at any time. If the duct is essentially ok, then I think it is worth noting, but not sure if replacement is necessary. I would certainly make the comment and you could leave it up to a heating contractor.

I'd recommend a duct leakage test. That is a vey large repair area (rodents?). I doubt all that mastic has properly sealed that duct.

Also, I'm curious as to what the metal pipe is? Doesn't look like a type b pipe but if is was, then it doesn't look like it has the proper clearances from the duct. Also, the PVC pipe supports the duct, which isn't proper support.
