Hi all,

I'm having a custom home built and think some of the subs are taking unwarranted shortcuts. My GC has been unhappy with my questions so I thought I'd check the building codes myself but as you know they are pretty complicated especially for a layman. I'm glad to have this forum to find answers to some of my questions and clarify some of the terminology.

If you encounter any suspect conditions I suggest taking photos for your own records as well as to seek help from the great amount of potential resourceful inspectors that frequent here.

I'm sure there's help to be offered.
