Barbara,

Florida is a large state, thus it is helpful if you put your location - preferably the city where you are located - as that let's us know which part of Florida you are in.

While Florida is not even 150 miles wide at the Tampa/St. Pete across to Melbourne, Florida is over 800 miles from Key West to Pensacola.

You can add that information to your profile from your user control panel.

That let's us know if you are in hot-humid Florida, hot-hot humid Florida, hot-hot-more-humid Florida, or if you are even-hotter-hot-even-more-humid-humid Florida. :)

I'll have you know FLORIDA does have a MOUNTAIN (the name says so):

https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sugarloaf_Mountain_(Florida)

And a HILL (again the name says so):

https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Britton_Hill

But it it strange that our hill is taller than our mountain???

345 ft is NOT a mountain, maybe a bump.

I live at 3600 ft and things go up to 10,000(+) feet around here within 25 miles.

I was in Florida once, I agree with Gunnar, it is flat.

I guess you didn't read the link and get my post:

"state of Florida, United States, with a summit elevation of 345 feet (105 m) above mean sea level. Britton Hill is the lowest state highpoint in the United States,[3] 103 feet (31 m) lower than the next lowest highpoint, Ebright Azimuth in Delaware."

Well, Wikipedia does state that Sugarloaf Mountain is the "most prominent point in the entire state". So, clearly it counts as a mountain. :whoo:

Yet Kansas has been proven to be "flatter than a pancake".
