PROGRAM: Forensic Investigation of Fires and Electrical Incidents
How do investigators figure out whether wiring really was responsible?
How do they work with electricians and inspectors?
How can we avoid spoiliation?meaning how can we keep possible evidence intact?
?and more. If you want to see the whole syllabus, a link is posted at <www.iaei.org/georgewashington>

PRESENTERS: We?re going to hear from two PEs who are serious experts: Matt Benefer and Robert Neary, of SEA Limited. One?s a Master Electrician and former Electrical Contractor, trained in forensic investigations; the other is a experienced graduate fire engineer doing similar work. They?ve published important research on questions that matter to us, such as ?Just how bad a receptacle connection does it take to glow or arc?? If you?d like to know more about them, links are posted at <www.iaei.org/georgewashington>

DATE: Wednesday, May 20, 2020
TIME: 5:30 PM

WHO: Everyone's welcome: AHJ and TPI inspectors and plan reviewers, electricians, engineers, and home inspectors. IAEI members will receive 2 hours of IACET- and ICC-approved CEUs. If you?re not yet a member, you can join in a few minutes at WWW.IAEI.ORG. Nonmembers are welcome to attend so long as there are spots unfilled by IAEI members. (There is of course a chance that a nonmember might be bumped by a late-registering member.)

Our meeting location is currently closed due to the pandemic. But that?s not going to stop us.
