As we are not all changing our PolyB up here in Canada - I wanted to let inspectors know that there are two transition fittings made by Sharkbite - one straight and one elbow - that are intended for polybutylene transition coupling.
They are recognizable:
"Fitting has color-coordinated collars on each end to identify which side goes with which pipe - the gray collar end is compatible with polybutylene pipe and the tan collar end is compatible with PEX, copper, CPVC, PE-RT and HDPE pipe"
