You mean like:

- No Type B gas vent is allowed to be within 36" in front of the panel.
- No water pipe is allowed to be within 36" in front of the panel.
- No water heater is allowed to be within 36" in front of the panel.

But those are 'not allowed' because they encroach into the required 36" in-front-of-the-panel working space ... so it gets back to "the obvious clearances" you mentioned.

Wadda you mean clearance? It looks like it was the intention of the plumber to provide wireless bonding for the water heater's supply piping by putting it as close as possible to the electrical distribution panel? Don’t you agree that’s brilliant ! :confused:

According to the Simpson Dura-Vent website, an adapter is not required by the flue pipe manufacturer. However, it might be required by the water heater manufacturer.

That is flexible metal conduit, and, yes, it looks like NM cable is coming out of it - what's wrong with that? Same thing at the top left.

Besides the sloppy panel the NM cable is not protected on the walls.

But your question was (what else is wrong with the flue as to the picture) so I don't know if you are looking for help on other things wrong or trying to stump us on something that is wrong? :confused:

I think Jerome was asking about the vent in relation to the electrical panel, not necessarily the vent itself - such as if there was a requirement which did not allow the vent to be within some distance of a panel, and, to my knowledge, it could right next to it (but I would have a problem with that as it could overheat the panel and and insulation touching the panel enclosure).
