residential homeowner here trying to understand code before we DIY. Our basement is finished but we are sectioning off a bedroom, bathroom, and a small kitchenette area. We have egress windows and I know about the requirements for egress in a bedroom. I am now wondering if the egress window where we plan to put some cabinets and a fridge can have the cabinets in front of that window? Thank you!
