Hey all

Inspected this mountain home built in 2001. Large deck with hot tub. doesn't it need joist hangers on outer deck joists and house joists were angled. Are these hangers wrong ??

Those hangers are a utility hanger, will likely need to look up the load values and specs to see if they are installed correctly.

CVF,

Looks like that is similar to an A-35, but it doesn't look like a Simpson product.

Not used as a joist hanger. I believe Simpson does make angled and adjustable hangers for that purpose like the S/JCT

Look at PIC#2. Space/Gap between Rim Joists and Deck joists. That deck requires further review by a licensed carpentry contractor.
