We have an immediate need for an inspector to inspect an entry door in Parkersburg, WV 26101. The complaint is that air is coming through the door. Inspection time should be 5-10 minutes. You will have to provide digital pictures. You will not discuss or give an opinion to anyone at the jobsite. You will just make notes and take pictures. Contact me for more details

The complaint is that air is coming through the door.

"Through the door"??? :) If it is a wood raised panel door and the panels have contracted due to low humidity, and the panels were not left to float in the stiles and rails, then, yeah, the panels WILL SPLIT and air will come through, as will daylight. :D

Or 'around the door' at the weather strip?

Or 'around the door' at the door frame (jambs/head/sill)?

The way I used to check that was to use blue painter's tape and plastic food wrap, taping the plastic wrap to the walls and the door/jamb/whatever. You can see that stuff "breathe" with the air movement and know exactly what is leaking where.

Probably its a louver door? 3 lbs of wood doe should do it.
