This is a three year old heat pump unit in a condo. What would cause the corrsion around the water connections.

Condensation building up on the uninsulated section of the suction line in cooling mode.

The new message board is less than 3 weeks old and we already have corrosion around the threads! What is the world coming to? :D

Except those are not refrigerant lines, those are chiller lines.
There is/was/has been leakage there, most likely at the top joint.
Looks like 'newer' pipe thread tape.
Probably 'was' leaking.
