Congratulations! Don't you think it's kind of strange that they are both pregnant??? Bad joke but I had to say it.

Soon it will be time to get that body pillow out.

When I was working in a large hospital in Kentucky, there was a nurse that named her kid after medicine. When this other nurse got pregnant (co worker of the nurse that named her kid after medicine), I asked if she was going to name him Prozac, Zac for short. She didn't find that joke funny either.

Hope your daughter-in-law has an easy pregnancy.

P.S. It's never too early to get your new grandchild a fishing rod.:)

Around these parts, I'm also known as Pawl-pa. We've got that echo'ing off the walls from 4 of those little larve.

My absolute best friend in the world is my 2 year old granddaughter. We've both taught each other alot.:)

Congrats Rick and all the other GPs out there!

Funny how all the women, including my wives and daughters, have at least one side shot during their most baby-bloated period, as if no one notices they are pregnant face on or from the rear for that matter.

Then from that day forward they constantly discuss their weight as if it were a cancerous growth turning them into some hideous ogre.

I'll be having a blast trying to figure out and explain what a rabbit delivering eggs has to do with a resurrection to my 3 angel/heathens, while smokin' some meat.

Smokin' meat always helps in these situations.
If you don't believe me try it sometime.

Ok, I'm old enough to be a grandfather. Just jealous, I guess.
Congratulations Rick and the rest of you geezers!

Rick, one of the best days will turn into a lot of best days!
My 4 yr old grandson lives next door, runs yelling "grandpa" through the woods when he hears grandpa outside, and he started fishing in the pond with me last summer. My 9 month old granddaughter lites up when grandpa comes close to her and will chase grandpa (crawling) around the living room.
I am truly blessed by them as you will be by yours.
CONTRATULATIONS to you and your family!

Congratulations! to all who are soon to be.

That is the farthest thing from my mind at this time. Like someone else said, 15 years from now would be good.

For now if I could just get the little farts to turn down the music, clean their rooms and do their homework.

Michael,
6 more in between? Would that be 8? Hats off to you my friend. I have 2, I dont know how you handle it.

Well we have three grandchildren, ages 1, 2 & 6. Also have an 11 year old son at home who was an uncle at age 5!

They do brighten the day when the stop over. My daughter and husband just moved a few miles away. For the past seven years they have lived about 500 miles away, so we are still getting use to having family so close.

Congrats Rick, I am about to be a grandpa for the first time too. Mine is a boy due in May. I am looking forward to it. However, it is very hard to get used to thinking of myself as a grandpa. 47 is too young for that. so he will call me poppy.

Hey Rick, my oldest son and his wife just went to the hospital this morning to induce labor. We should have another one on the ground sometime today!

Hey Frank, number three for me today, at age 50, if all goes well. Grandpa was just fine for me when the first one came along 7 years ago when I was still 44. Just give it up, and go with the flow. I don't bat an eye and never have when the little ones call me grandpa. Now if some whipper snapper teen ager tells me to move over "grandpa" the fight might be on!

Congrats Rick, my youngest grandchild is 16 and my youngest great grandchild is 7 months. Grandkids are fun in that you get to play act with them and when they eventually become rowdy you send them home.
I used to slip my grand daughter chocolate when she was a kid and my son couldn't figure out why she had such high energy after a visit with grandpa.
BTW, she is the one that presented us with a great grandchild 7 months ago.
Life is good! :D

After great anticipation for the last several months, we became grandparents as of yesterday afternoon at 5pm.

Hudson Ryder Hurst has become our newest family member.

I cannot explain the feeling that comes over you the moment you aquire that "Grandfather" name. I'm going to known a G-Daddy my kids say. :D

My wife and myself was at the hospital from 5am. in the morning till late last night. My daughter in law was in labor for 12hrs. What a trooper she was.

I seen a saying on a picture not long ago that said,

The Proudest day in a Man's Life is the Day He sees His Son become a Father.

It all made sense yesterday.

Congratulations

Life is full of wonders and its a wonder you made it this long. Now you get to be young again. Grand babies will give you a new lease on life. You will be babbling like a fool and they will think you are the cutest fool around. You will be the hero because mom and dad have to teach them discipline and old gramps just shows them how fun life can be.

You have great times ahead.
