Makes you wonder what's wrong with Internachi's standards of practice.

John:

That's Internachi, dba Walmart. Cheapest place in town to purchase credentials. At least condo boy has a badge from Walmart . . .

A free insepction huh? Nothing like driving down the standards and public perception of the profession.

Here is what Nick had to say on the condo link.

All real estate agents in the U.S. and Canada have a fiduciary duty to their clients to recommend ONLY InterNACHI members.Baloney, no agent has a fiduciary duty to ONLY recommend an InterNACHI inspector!

Like you?

"Condo Metropolis only recommends home inspectors who work according to the stringent Standards of Practice of the American Society of Home Inspectors."

:D Got to love them advertising ASHI SoP and then advertising INTERnachi inspectors.

Of course, though, the general public will never catch that, but ... one would have thought that The White Rabbit would have.

Also, at the very bottom: "*Buyer must request inspection and mention promo code CMInsp08. Buyer must pay for inspection at time of booking. Re-imbursement by Condo Metropolis will take place at closing."

"Re-imbursement" That is supposed to be one word "Reimbursement".

RMTFLMAO

Jerry, you gotta love it!

But hey, James Bushart is all for separating the realtor from the inspection process right? Seems like they are joined at the hip in this Website.

The inspection must be worth the price they pay.

Since nobody is buying condos here in Orlando right now, it doesn't really matter. Even fire-sale pricing and auctions can't move the things.

"Home Inspection Channel?" Hmmmm, looks more like the "Comedy Channel."
I found the part about reporting cosmetic issues amusing.

I wonder which party he is more apt to please, the buyer who pays him once or the association who probably pays him over and over and over.

Talk about a conflict of interest. I am not a NACHI member, but do frequent their board and have not seen anything like this. Is this a common practice or something that NACHI condones?

Jerry, does Fl. have licensing? If so, what would the board say about this arrangement?

...NACHI...

Doesn't exist.

Internachi exists.

NACHI is Alive and doing Well.

No such thing as NACHI it does not exist anymore after NAHI won their lawsuit.

I belive the correct name is International Association of Certifed Home Inspectors or IACHI! IACHI (http://www.iachi.com/)

So IACHI is what we all should be calling the former organization owned by Nick.

' easy-to-learn' energy healing! This is a whole new direction for Nick! I wish him the best in his new endeavor.

Cute Scott, but having read all the legal documants carefully (which I am sure you did) you will note that the legal name remains the "National Association..." and the website remains "NACHI.org" and the "new" acronym for public consumption is InterNACHI.

From a more realistic perspective one might be more inclined to question the existance of NAHI (given the direction it has been going in).

David the website address may still be Nachi but the site is InterNACHI Message Board.
