Yesterday I found another condensation line connected directly to a homes waste line. The condensation line was from a condensation pump on a Cat IV furnace and evaporator. The HVAC contractor tapped it directly into the PVC waste line.
The first picture is the line tapped into the PVC pipe. The second picture is sewage backing up into the condensation line! The pump had burned out.
