Looks like disaster waiting to happen. Saw this on my way to another HI. In one the wealthiest towns in MA. Go figure.

They did not become wealthy by spending money on fixing chimneys that would only fall on the gardener anyway.

Between the chimney and your picture I'm dizzy. That chimneys not the only thing out of plumb. Was that before or after beerthirty?

I dunno ... :) ... when you look at the chimney - IT IS plumb, from where it turns, the house is crooked. :D

Yea. I pulled over in traffic to take the pic and people were not happy. Hurried pic.

Got it!

"Up there", they build houses on the slope of the hill instead of building them level.

Thanks, learned something new. :)

Still, though, wouldn't all the furniture slide "downhill", so to speak? :D

BTW, what's the technical term for the differential expansion that causes chimneys to curve like that - I used to know it, but I've forgotten....
