Are inspection picking up in your area? The bay-area of Calif is on a roll.

Some H.I. are out 2 weeks.
The bank REOs . Are getting up to 5 bids over asking price.

This is making for a spike in Inspection.

Are you guys in the USA? I have to get out of the North East. Worst year ever for me.

Now, as for the first quarter of this year, what first quarter?

We were down one inspection from April 2007, but revenue was off by -$985. I must have had some higher priced inspections last year.

The money is really the only thing that counts. I would be fine with only doing tree a year if I could get enough for each one. But, I don't live in an area where multi million dollar mansions are sold.

May is looking up as far as bokings go - but still a far cry from last year.

April was good for me, but I'm getting a large number of callers just checking price and I never hear back. Still have the low priced inspectors hanging on in my area.

My web site has been my best referral recently. I'm getting about 30 hits a day and about 2 calls a day from out of town clients. I am using PPC on Google and Yahoo but it seems to be worth it. Superpages has been a bust!

Slow, Slow, Slow for me (one man independent) in the Phily burbs. I understand the franchises and multi inspector firms are ok. I think the realtors are flocking to them because they lightened up their standards to keep them happy. I know of specific cases where the realtors approached multi inspector company owners and ask them to ease off so the agents could make the sale. And they did.

Not really picking up here on Long Island, NY. A combination of the home Prices are still dropping (Buyers are still waiting for the lowest price) The New License law (2 years) has brought in the home Inspection teaching mills and Home inspector Price cutters. Even the Gas prices have even hurt being a suburb of NYC. The perfect Sh*t Storm. JG.

Flurries and dry spells here in Oregon. It's overall picked up for the season but not to where anyone was expecting or hoping. The sales numbers are about to come out for April and it's looking like about 1/2 the transaction as a coule years ago. About 35-40% less than last year :(

Prices are stable here as of now. In reality, they've dropped but nobody's willing to sell at a lower price than their neighbor got last year so..... we wait.... and we wait.
