I'm gonna rat out a stupid driver!!!
Me.
After 18 years of driving my 57 Plymouth, I ran it out of gas for the first time yesterday. To add insult to injury, the NOS guage I installed read 1/4 tank, and I was across the street from the Sunoco I was heading to.
Don't you love it?

Hey Richard - My mother bought one of those back in the late fifties! My dad was in the Air Force away from home, so he wasn't around to help make the decision. What a car. I remember the push-button tranny because of the long delay before it would kick into gear. And those fins! I was about 7 or 8 I guess.

Only old farts remember cars like that.
I think my dad had just about every car from the 50s 60s He would only buy used cars.
Old tanks gotta love them.

Nice car and in great shape, doubt todays cars will look that good at that age!!
Savoy was the mid model as I recall. Went:
belvader (sp)

The era of "fins", Imperial had a dandy one, as did cadillac.

Yeah, right...
A Flathead six and a two speed Powerflite tranny will run out of gas in less than 18 years. Otherwise, I'd drive it every day.
