I have been asked to do a talk to a group of first time home buyers. I would like to put together a power point presintation on what a HI can find during an inspection. I want to make it light hearted and am asking everyone if they have any pictures that you can send to me to use for this. I have a few but would like to get some more. I have also been asked by another group to put on another talk, and that one needs to be a bit longer. So any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks

Do you have a email address to send to it may be easier to send. I have some that I can send to you but then again I think everyone has some. I had a 13 year old home yesterday that they decided not to hook up a heating duct to the kitchen so they left it blowing into the crawlspace- for 13 years. If they only would have had a home inspection.

Chris
There is an HVAC section on this board. Maybe you could start there. Probably there are some of us that would enjoy chatting with you so that you could enlighten us on the errors of our ways. We always want to learn. If you are talking about advertising a/your school, you should contact the underwriter of this message board regarding advertising rates, etc.

Welcome to the board Chris.

I would respectfully submit that before you begin teaching us, that you take a moment to recognize that we are not all a bunch of ignorant bumpkins that need enlightenment for the rudiments of HVAC systems.

We are (with a few exceptions) persons who welcome learning more about all phases of building science. Some of the board members are licensed HVAC spcialists, as well as HI's. Others are experienced tradesmen in other areas of construction. Many have multiple certifications.

So I hope your approach will be one where you accept that while we will all welcome the benefit of you area of expertise, you may eventually have an opportunity to learn something here, as well. :)

For Thom Walker:
Very, very well said !

For Chris Ethridge:
Speaking for myself, I would genuinely welcome any opportunity to learn more about ANY area from those who A) know what they are talking about and, B) are willing to impart their wisdom!!
