Hi Wayne,

Explain this again please.

Which "Post" button are you clicking?

Where is it taking you?

Where do you think it should take you?

Brian, When I click in one of the Post Icons circles . Where it says"You may choose an icon for your message from the following list":
It does not go into my message. What am I doing wrong?

Hi Wayne,

OK, I think I get it now.

When you started this thread you you selected the green Smile face icon http://www.inspectionnews.net/home_inspection/images/icons/icon10.gif

If I look at your thread from this page I can see it, can you?
http://www.inspectionnews.net/home_inspection/h-e-l-p/

Now, since I am replying to this I will select the "Thumbs up" icon from below. Let's see what happens.

Nothing happens. Interesting. Since you started the thread your icon will stay with the thread. When replying the selection of another post icon should not be there, it is just for the thread starter.

No, I see many posts where the smiles are in the reply but mine does not go in. Tell me, do you just click on a smile and it goes into the text that you are typing.

Yes. Right now I can select one of the smiles to the right. Just click on a smile icon and it will enter it into your post. :) You can then keep typing and add another if you wish

Hi Wayne,

If you could put in a little effort just to help me out I would appreciate it.

I'm curious to know why it won't work for you. If it's not working for you it might not be working for other people.

Could you please tell me.....

Are you using a PC or MAC?
For a browser are you using Internet Explorer, FireFox or Safari?

I lost my emoticons when I changed my options in the micellaneous section to basic from the enhanced editor.

You might try changing the setting in the "edit options" from the quick links pull down menu on the upper right of the page. Don't forget to save the changes.

I think Jim may have the answer!

When you register for InspectionNews the default should be the WYSIWYG editor.

If you changed your settings to Basic you will lose your editing features and the icons to the right.
