York has not replied back to me regarding my email to them last week.
Trying to find out the SEER rating on this unit.

Trying to find out the SEER rating on this unit.

My first question is ... Why?

Hopefully you are not telling your clients what SEER it is.

Even if that had a label on it saying it was a 13 SEER, it may not be, not without a proper matching unit inside.

At most I would state "There is a label on the a/c condenser unit which states it is 13 SEER, however, I have no way of verifying that the system is matched - inside and outside units, and, if not matched, the label means nothing."

I just told my client something totally worthless. Why say it?

The unit in question goes with a home I am purchasing.
The home had been siting partially completed for 3 years without the exterior unit but it did have a Rheem interior unit.

I requested that the AC meet current energy requirements.
You are correct though in regards to mismatching the units.

Re: York AC unit (title of thread)

What was it we were just talking about with mismatched units? ;)

Unless Rheem has tested their units with York units (and why would they?), or York has tested their units with Rheem units (and why would they?) ... those are mismatched units with an unknown SEER.

Factory Rated at 13 SEER.

Performing at unknown SEER due to unmatched components. ;)
