16" on center rafers and skylight

Just wondered if anyone has ever seen rafters cut to allow for a skylight, and what the proper framing would be. Is this allowed and if so, what is the correct way to box it out. :p

It would be allright to double up the top header and the bottom header. Joist hangers on each header (4 spots). The rafters on each side should be braced down to a wall at the skylight. Be concerned on the flashing too! These things are notorious for leaking!
