    Default Delaware Licensing

    Good Morning,

As of August 6th, Delaware has inacted a law that requires
a HI to be licensed through the State. I have recently completed InterNachi's
required online course and taken (and passed) the online exam. I am looking for
a Home Inspector in DE preferablly New Castle County that I can shadow while I
complete the rest of the State requirements (one being 250 supervised
inspections). Here is a link to the State requirements fo HI Trainee.

    Thanks,
    Chris

Looks like you might need to also take and pass the NHIE (state exam) before you start your 250 inspections, its kind of hard to tell but that would make sense. Good luck, the 250 requirement under another inspector will be a pain in the rear. It is a moronic law that requires 250 inspections to get a license, talk about a barrier to enter the profession!

250 is brutal. And expensive! It's only 100 in PA.

Yes, 250 is very discouraging. Delaware went from no regulations to this.
