    Default truss joist rafter bearing

    Found this in a 1925 house that had an addition which entailed re-framing most of the roof.

    I'm thinking the end of the TJ being cut and resting on the web is wrong?

    It was all approved and signed off on by the AHJ in 05.

    edit: it doesn't show up well in the picture but the web is cut around that 2X4 piece. And, the top cord extends just a bit further out of sight but is not resting on or attached to anything.
