SPF insulation
I don't see this stuff much at all and have a question. Does this spray foam insulation blown onto the underside of the roof framing require a fire retardant coating be sprayed over it?
And no, that is not a flue, it is a fresh air intake for the ventilation system.

Ok, waiting for the other shoe to drop.
When all JP has to say is "No", you have to wonder.
Hey, I just realized what the three dots are for - minimum 5 characters!
Anyway, this has been discussed fairly recently - if you search the forum for "attic foam insulation" without the quotes, I think you'll find some useful info.

Re: SPF insulation
I know this an old thread and I am a new guy to this forum. However, the correct answer is "probably no". Based on fire safety testing a few brands require the barrier.
