    Default Thermal-ply under brick veneer

Contractor here is about to install brick veneer directly over a (green) Thermal-ply sheathing that has been overlapped but not taped at the joints. I've looked through the ICBO for this type of install but nothing specific mentions this for use with brick veneer.

This looks like it will be a problem a few years down the road if no additional building wrap is installed between the Thermal-ply and the brick. Anyone know of a building code that prohibits this type of install?

Looks like taping is not 'required' (but would possibly improve water-tightness).

By the way, that green Thermo-Ply is non-structural.
