It looks to me the nick is in the vinyl trim, not the glazing.

I thought it was a nick in aluminum glazing trim (which is for decorative purposes only as those types of windows have the sealant between the glazing and the interior frame the glazing is 'glued' to with the sealant).

What is wrong with having wood shutters. There much more expensive than blinds. I'd probably not even mention it. Move on to bigger game as Jack says.

If I see it, I put it in. If I don't think it needs repair, I just note that I saw it. I want people to know I was looking. Also, it tends to cut down on phone calls later. "Did you see..."
