Commercial inspection certification
Is there such a think as a certified commercial building inspector?
Does anyone know of any professional organizations that might support or certify commercial building inspectors?
Any thoughts on what might be required for certification?
My state does not require licensing. Any states that do?
Any info would be appreciated.

Re: Commercial inspection certification
ICC has a category Certified Commercial Building Inspector, but ... that is for code inspections, and for "Building" only.
ICC also has:
Certified Commercial Electrical Inspector
Certified Commercial Mechanical Inspector
Certified Commercial Plumbing Inspector
However, none of them are for the purpose you are inquiring about - "home inspector" and "commercial inspector" - those are all "code inspector" certifications and categories.

Re: Commercial inspection certification
ITI also in conjuntion with InterNachi does a Commercial Inspection certification 3 day course. I took it, it was informative but it will not prepare you if you don't have the technical background.

Re: Commercial inspection certification
3 whole days? Sounds like they're getting serious.
