Construction Costs per S.F.
Just ran across this and thought that it might be of some interest.
This company offers up square foot construction costs for 25 major metro areas,
From $88.37 in Cleveland OH. to $457.00 in San Jose, Ca.
Wow .... I wonder what the economics are that create such a disparity in costs.

Not quite.. He was looking for prices of PT slabs and design costs.
It still amazes me that Square foot costs increase by $370 per Sf. from Cleveland to San Jose.
Thats an additional $370,000.00 for the same 1000 sf Bldg.
Location, location, location........................

Re: Construction Costs per S.F.
These costs would not include land. It is for the building only.
I believe the differences are type of construction and finishes.
$200.00/sf for the Boston area is correct. The SQ.Ft. cost is for livable area, but NE Homes also have basements and garages. These are factored into the equation.
