Re: Single Pane Windows
If there is peeling paint due to condensation I note it. If the condensation is damaging wood sections I note it. Condensation on single pane windows is normal with temperAture differential. Condensation damage to wood and finished surfaces is a defect and should be noted.

Re: Single Pane Windows
Robert, you really have been spoiled with that warm climate, you need to come up north a little more. I guess I can't be raggin' on you too much or the guys that are really "up North" might find out we still have not had our first real freeze for the year and it is mid December.

Condensation on single pane windows is normal.

Re: Single Pane Windows
I write up single pane windows as an energy inefficiency. Condensation is a by product, and it's only one of the issues with a single pane window.

Re: Single Pane Windows
I've had many people tell me lately that they'd rather live with the lower energy efficient single pane windows that have to deal with replace the "lost seal" windows every few years.
