Could they BE any more lazy??
Never seen this before. Whoever hung the new upper cabinets in the laundry room was too lazy to remove the old shelving from the wall behind them. They just pushed the cabinets up against them and used screws in each end to hang the new unit. A top loader will not be possible here.

They're not finished. There were supposed to be holes cut so they could use the old shelves, too. []

I am pretty sure that those cabinets, as installed, can hold all that air that is in them at this time, but ... I would not want to put anything else of any weight in those cabinets lest the cabinets fall!

I am sure that the work order was to install the cabinets and did not say anything about removing the existing shelves. A work to rule job...

I don't see an exhaust port for the dryer, is it possible that they have the port on the side of the shelf? I know, sounds goofy but I've seen worse!
