safety glazing required next to tub in 1993?
Can someone verify for me that safety glazing was required in 1993 as it is now, when windows are right next to a bathtub?

I do not know if it was required or not.
However you can (and should) still write it in the report as a safety concern.

John,
Here are the relative pages from the 1991 UBC, which we were using in Montana at that time. 5406 D 5 etc.

Re: safety glazing required next to tub in 1993?
Pardon me John, I just realized the top portion of the page (797) did not copy. Sec. 5406-(d)-5 reads as follows: Glazing in doors and enclosures for hot tubs, whirlpools, saunas, steam rooms, bathtubs and showers. Glazing in any portion of a building wall enclosing these compartments where the bottom exposed edge of the glazing is less than 60 inches above a standing surface and drain inlet.
