    Looking where?

You wasted a bunch of pixels and a little bandwith for this.......as did I in responding....but January is slow.

If you choose not to decide, you still have made a choice.

This is my guess as to who 'has been' is and his/her question: 'has been' was an electrician ... as in he/she 'has been an electrician' ... and he/she is now tired of working and wants to be an "electrical inspector in New Jersey (which is his/her listed location).

I don't know what requirements New Jersey may have for being an electrical inspector - while I would think an electrician would know the requirements to become an electrical inspector in their area, my personal experience of having electricians ask me what they need to do to become an electrical inspector in Florida tells me that they don't know/haven't checked.

That instead of checking with the local AHJ, county or state, it's easier to ask someone else.

All I can do is recommend that he/she check with their local AHJ, county or state.

Usually, it is the younger electricians who ask as they realize that they don't want to be electricians all their life ( more work than they thought it would be).

Not just electricians either - plumbers, HVAC installers, framers, roofers, etc ... they all want to be "inspectors" and not "workers".
