Chandelier Lift
New one on me. I guess I do not do enough million plus houses.
Lowers chandelier over stairs for cleaning.

Yep, also found over dining rooms, family room, etc., in those homes.

There needs to be a proper service pathway to it, and a service platform in front of or around it, so the electrician can service/repair/replace it as needed.

Think of a proper service pathway to mechanical equipment in the attic, and the platform needs to be large enough to allow for that 30" wide by 36" deep working space in front of the service access to the equipment.

I've seen plenty of those lifts, and not one had a walkway or platform.
Makes commen sense, though.
