The bottom chord of the truss rafters are nailed to the ceiling rafters.
1-Is this acceptable?
2-Shouldn't they use joist hangers? Only on one rafter did they use the joist hanger where the bottom cord was connected to the ceiling joist.
I'm confused.
There are "trusses".
There are "rafters".
There are "ceiling joists".
There are no "truss rafters".
There are no "ceiling joists" with trusses.
Trusses have a top chord, a bottom chord, diagonals and verticals.
Are you referring to the top chords and the bottom chords?
