never seen this before
I performed a inspection today and found that in the master bedroom and bath you could see the outline of every stud and truss in the room its almost like the furnace sooted but only stuck to these features i am wondering if this could be mold i hate to call out mold if its not so. I will try to upload some pictures

Roger,

I see this periodically. It appears to be ghosting or alson called shadowing. It can be caused from burning candles etc. Read the posts mentioned, it will give you some insight.

thank you very much after studying my pictures thats what it is and the ceiling is a cathederal ceiling with bat insulation so the top of the truss is exposed. Thanks alot just when you think you have seen it all
