garage door bracing
Shouldn't the 2x6 bracing that the garage door railing attaches to be flush all the way up?

As long as it is secure to the wall and the door fits, it should be ok.

It does not look secure in the picture.
Need lag bolts near the track mounting area.

Needs proper attachment here in any case, it can be shimmed and properly attached at that time.

Is the wall reasonably plumb? Looks like quite a bit of gap to shim to. Although in Houston these days dimensional tolerances seem to be +/- 3/4". Always highlights a fine tiling job when you see a 4" tile on the end of one wall and an 8" tile at the other end.

Thats why the good tile guys love to lay them on the diagonal.
