Laundry Room Exhaust Fans
Exhaust fans terminating at an exterior location are required in bathrooms lacking a window. Does any one know if laundry rooms equipped with a laundry tub require exhaust fans as well. I was unable to find mention of it in the IRC.

Re: Laundry Room Exhaust Fans
Not required. I wouldn't bother putting one in my house, but I do see them on newer houses. The dryer alone pulls out plenty of air, plus we're trying to keep humidity inside in our climate.

Re: Laundry Room Exhaust Fans
Someone mentioned that they were required on some of the former codes, but not in IRC as far as I know.
But if they are there, they do need to be vented directly to outdoors just like bath vents.
