Did anyone had the unfortunate experience to file a claim with an insurer to defend or settle a claim from a costumer recently? Do you feel that the matter was dealt with properly to protect your interest - or was the case simply settled to minimize any losses for the insurance underwriter?

I am looking for facts and not well meant - but theoretical - advice.
