Home Services Net
I got a phone call from Home Services Net today offering me a franchise in eastern Montana. Their website is block6services.com. My concern is that they will send me non-productive referrals and charge me 20% no matter how they turn out. Has anyone dealt with this outfit and if so - how did it work out?

Re: Home Services Net
My experience with just about anyone who calls me and offers me a "deal" is that you need to just hang the phone up and go on with life.
Just how many homes are sold every year in Eastern Montana? Just the pure economics of homes that are sold in the area should tell you that it is not worth spending money for the extreme possibility that you might get a call.
Spend the money building your website and on local advertising. Sponsor a little league baseball or youth soccer team and you will spend less money and have more exposure to a target audience.

Sponsoring a little league baseball team worked great for me as Scott mentioned. I've done it now for the last 5 years. I not only have my company name on the jersey of all the team members, but I have a large banner on the fence at the ballpark. Plus that the little buggers have won district the last 3 yrs. Lot of exposure there.

Re: Home Services Net
Thanks for the replies. Scott, the last three years I have averaged 2.5 - 3 inspections per week. I figure that is around 75 - 80% of the homes sold in a 100 mile radius. I give a presentation at the first time homebuyers class on a monthly basis and average one inspection per month from that.

Re: Home Services Net
If you are getting 75% to 80% of the home sales in the area you serve, you ain't going get a whole lot more! I would say that you own that market and I would not spend much more on advertising in that area. Might be time to expand to another area and hire or merge with another person in another part of the State.
