While I have never seen one, there could be a fitting that accepts two UF cables. You would need to look at the fitting and see if has two separate holes in the rubber insert. If it has only one then I doubt it would seal two wires properly.

I know they make those for one cable, but, like James, I've never seen one for two (it's probably made for one and has two in it).
Did you write up that leaking roof?

Second thoughts. Caulk joints and is that rust on the staple? Jerry? By the way I hate the look at the photo and guess thing.

John,
With 6" clearance above it, and with those water stains on that one and not the one sticking out into the wind driven rain more that the inner one, I would suspect the top of the one with the water stains is decaying out (and that decay is causing the staining).
Just another thought based on the new information about the photo.
