Default Tapping conductors in the service

This is a 150amp service panel. They tapped the conductors to supply an auxiliary panel in the garge. The panel is rated for 125amp. Doesn't it have to be rated for 150amps?

Presuming that means the main disconnect is rated for 150 amps.

Yes, with a few possible exceptions which most likely would not apply here (would need more information and then review 240.21(B)(1) through (5) ).

Just as importantly, did you see what they did to the back of that service equipment enclosure? They really screwed that one up.

You mean the hole they punched in the panel with the make shift bushing.

Yes sir, except that I would not call that a "hole they punched", looks more like 'Hey, Billy Bob, whatcha think ... 12 ga side-by-side? One or two?' 'Bubba, I'd go with both.' 'Sounds good to be Billy Bob - stand aside ... '
