    Default asbetos insulation

    I would like to know If eary romex has an asbestos covering jacket, as
    part of its earlier make up.



    ROMEX a.k.a. also know as NM or non-metalic sheath cable.

    No asbestos - just tar-soaked cotton weave, sometimes painted silver.
