    Question Wiring & Sprayed On Insulation

    Is there an issue with spayed on insulation coating wiring, even next to the main panel?

    No, Icynene® insulation has been tested and found to be safe. It has been applied over electrical wiring for over twenty years.

    I have not seen anything during a code update class that treats this any different than fiberglass insulation.

    The builders I deal with the most do not spray the bay the panel is in to ease future wiring or repairs.
