    Default Ground rod in slab

    1960s construction.

The ground cable from the service panel enters the slab a couple inches away from a grounding rod. I can not verify that the cable is actually attached to the rod.
I entered the ground as not inspected but was curious what others might say in addition to this.
Would you recommend a new ground to ensure that there actually is a proper connection?

In the photo, the black cable is for other equipment.

Default Re: Ground rod in slab

    A couple of quick observations:
    - that is a pipe clamp, not a rod clamp
    - the ground rod is (presumable) 8 feet long and is quite obviously therefore not 8 feet in the ground
    - that black ground conductor to "other equipment" is likely all wrong
