NOpe. If you can see paint on the buss bars and on the breakers... much different deal.

    As is... I wouldn't

I agree with Richard. As professionals, we have to be able to draw a line somewhere between the rigid letter of the code and its practical intent.

The few paint speckles shown in your photo on the panel shell are of no consequence in the grand scheme of things in my opinion. However, paint contamination on conductive or heat dissipating surfaces of bus bars, breakers, and wire terminals would be a different matter.

Also in agreement. That little bit, and not on anything of consequence, is not a problem.

    Dan,

You'll probably get a call in a few years when your buyer decides to sell that house and a new inspector comes out and tells his client that the panel is contaminated and should be replaced at a cost of 3 grand. He'll be wanting a check from you.

    It happens trust me.

Still, I wouldn't call it out as the other seasoned HI's mentioned.

Or how about some drywall mud? This one I did call out because it is actually on the connection points. It has to be quite a bit more severe than the picture you posted for me to mention it.

Agreed-- just those breakers... not the whole panel.
