Feeders cables penetrating the service box
I think this has been posted before but I will repost Are clamps required around the these penetrations into the back of the service box. They are the feeders for three interior panels. House was built in 06, 200 amp service.

Yes they do need a proper connector, those anti-short bushing do not comply, unless you were in the Phoenix area they have a local amendment allowing that type of install.

Just because "everyone does it" ... I would not want to presume that it is approved or acceptable - I would write it up and let an electrical contractor provide written documentation from the local AHJ that they are okay with it and approve of that installation.

These clamps work fine in this application. You can get them up to 1 1/2" and can be installed without removing the wire.
