Re: Splices in Carrier furnace
Besides the lack of a connector, what is the wiring method?
Does this look different than other gas furnaces you have seen to raise the question?
All answers based on unamended National Electrical codes.

Re: Splices in Carrier furnace
The missing bushing around the power cord at the penetration into the cabinet is one. Other than that I was curious above the splices. The splices are dedicated to a UV air cleaner and steam humidifier. Do they need to be housed in an external junction box or does the cabinet of the furnace serve as a box.
