GFCI receptacle and one 'button' (or whatever they are) is a "Test" and the other one is the "Reset"?

I should probably be embarrassed to admit, as an electrical engineer, former construction manager and long time home inspector, I have never seen or heard of one of these before. Excuse me while I blush.
