    Default Copper/Aluminum connections

Had a friend ask about doing a re-hab on a house with aluminum wiring. He doesn't want to re-wire the entire house and is asking about methods of correction.
Any thoughts I can pass along?
    Thanks

Have him check with his insurance carrier, they may convince him that re-wiring is cheaper in the long run.
The labor is going to be pretty much the same on re-wiring and re-working ALL the connections, which is the only smart thing to do. Add that is is always going to raise a red flag on any inspection... does he really want to go to all that trouble and still have aluminum or spend a few more bucks on copper and be done with it.
Lots of information here from CPSC and others that I have on file, but due to the length I won't repost. Send me an email if you need it and I will forward it to you.

Tell him to re-wire, that way you are cleared when his buyer asks him to re-wire.
