It passed permitting, inspections, and was given a CO too

Ultimately, even though it had been permitted, inspected, and a certificate of occupancy given, and it was in legal use, that addition was torn down and the utility pole left standing.
Sometimes, mistakes are corrected, in this case, though, at a huge expense to the owner of that bar - who ended up where he started, less all that cash he paid out to have the addition built.
